The purpose of the article is to present some advances obtained from the investigation “In the footsteps of our ancestors” in the
municipality of Floresta, based on a historical theoretical observation, where the different historical events of the municipality of Floresta are briefly highlighted since the genesis of the life to this day; the research methods in the field based on the ethnographic research model and the results of the research with the implementation of information collection instruments such as documentary
observation, participant observation and the structured interview, which support the objective of the research initiative, in which it
focuses on conserving and disseminating the cultural and ecosystemic heritage of the municipality of Floresta for the generation
of economic development.
