Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts for consideration in this journal. All submissions will be initially assessed by an editor, who will determine whether the manuscript aligns with the aims and scope of the publication. Those that meet these criteria will be sent for peer review before a final decision on acceptance or rejection is made.

Prior to submission, authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions to publish any material included in the manuscript, such as photographs, documents, or datasets. Likewise, all individuals identified as authors must give their consent to be recognized as such. Where applicable, research must have received approval from an appropriate ethics committee, in accordance with the legal requirements in force in the country where the study was conducted.

The editorial team may reject a submission if it does not meet the journal’s minimum quality standards. Therefore, before submitting the manuscript, authors are advised to ensure that the study design and research argumentation are properly structured and articulated. The title should be clear and concise, and the abstract should be understandable on its own, without the need to consult the rest of the document. Meeting these criteria will increase the likelihood that reviewers agree to evaluate the article.

Once it has been verified that the submission complies with these requirements, authors may proceed to complete the manuscript preparation checklist.

Author Guidelines

As stated, Revista Arista Jurídico-Política is an educational (formative) publication issued on an annual basis by the School of Legal and Political Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia. It aims to disseminate, give visibility to, and share the results of academic and research processes carried out by students, professionals, and members of various higher education institutions, both nationally and internationally.

Manuscript Preparation

The submission and acceptance guidelines have been developed based on quality criteria established by recognized indexing and abstracting systems. Articles must be submitted through the OJS platform, hosted in the repository of the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD), available at the following link:
https://hemeroteca.unad.edu.co/index.php/arista-juridico-politica/about

Along with the article, each author must register on the platform, upload their CV, and attach the duly completed originality statement form.

As part of the submission process and the upload of the manuscript to the platform, authors must ensure that it complies with all the listed requirements. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines will be returned to the authors.

These guidelines complement—but do not replace—those available on the journal’s website, which detail the instructions for article submission.
