Philosophical-legal analysis of the typologies of human-animal conflict from the work of the Legal Assistance Office of the District Institute for Animal Protection and Welfare of Bogotá
The present text unfolds in two parts. Firstly, the justification is provided for the idea that non-human animals may be susceptible to the assignment of rights from a deontological perspective. Secondly, the main typologies of conflict in the human-animal relationship in Bogotá are described, along with the legal tools to address these conflicts and complementary actions for comprehensive intervention resulting from data collection efforts by the Legal Assistance Office of the District Institute of Protection and Animal Welfare of Bogotá. This analysis is grounded in a non-anthropocentric animal rights framework with philosophical foundations.
