The journal Análisis Jurídico – Político is a scientific publication of the School of Legal and Political Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia, intended to publish original academic articles in the great area of social sciences, and, in particular, in the areas and subareas of political science, law and international relations.
It aims to disseminate, make visible and transfer the results of research processes developed by professionals and members of various national and international higher education institutions and research centers.
It will be published every six months, with articles in Spanish or English, with a target audience of undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers, professors and professionals in the field of social sciences, particularly legal and political sciences.
It will publish research articles, reflection articles on a problem or topic in an area, as well as review articles, translations and/or reviews.
Manuscripts must be submitted using the most up-to-date APA standards for publications, not for institutional work.
The Journal is financed by the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia.
The journal Análisis Jurídico - Político began in 2019 with a biannual publication. (January-June and July-December). The journal keeps a permanent open call for the submission of papers. Análisis Jurídico - Político issues are published on January 31th and July 31th.

The journal Análisis Jurídico - Político aims to optimize processes which involve dissemination articles and high-level academic productions.
This journal is committed to maintaining high quality standards. As a result, it takes all necessary measures to avoid misconduct in the publishing process.
The authors who submit papers to the journal Análisis Jurídico – Político attest that they are original, unpublished and that they are not being evaluated by another journal. Additionally, they confirm the articles are created by themselves, and in that way, they are not taken from someone else’s work or ideas; also, they have disclosed any real or potential conflict of interest with their work, any partial or associated benefit. Análisis Jurídico - Político is committed to double-blind peer review by the expert evaluators as well as prevent any conflict of interest between the editor and the evaluators.
In view of the foregoing, the standards for reception and acceptance of originals have been prepared based on the quality criteria published by indexing and summary systems. Articles must be published on the OJS platform, which is hosted in the newspaper library of the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia – UNAD at the following link: http://hemeroteca.unad.edu.co/index.php/analisis/about/index. Together with the article, each one of the authors must register on the platform and publish their resume there, fill out the author's file with the corresponding data and attach the duly completed originality declaration form. In addition, two versions of the article must be uploaded to the platform: an anonymized version (without the authors' data), which must be indicated in the file name; and another with the data of the authors.
The articles published in the journal Análisis Jurídico - Político are checked through Turnitin, a similarity and non-original content detection tool that, together with the editorial policy, promote ethical publication practices. Likewise, the journal before defining a plagiarism behavior and, consequently, not editable as a result of the check through the aforementioned software, the result is communicated to the author(s).
As an open access journal, all content is freely accessible and at no cost to the user and/or Institution. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text of articles in this journal without prior permission from the publisher or author. All articles in the journal have a DOI. And the journal meets I40C standards for open citations.

Attribution - Noncommercial; allows others to distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially and, although their new works must always mention you and remain non-commercial, they are not obligated to license their derivative works under the same conditions.
Authors who publish with the journal Análisis Jurídico - Político accept the following terms: The authors assign the patrimonial rights to the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia - UNAD free of charge, within which are included: the right to edit, publish, reproduce and distribute both in print and digital media and grant the journal Análisis Jurídico - Político the right of first publication the licensed work simultaneously under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License which allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of authorship of the work and initial publication in this journal, without commercial purposes.
Once the manuscript is uploaded to the journal's OJS, it will be reviewed by Turnitin and if accepted by the Editorial Committee, it will be evaluated to follow the double-blind peer review procedure.
The evaluation of the external peers is recorded in a report or format for evaluation. The evaluators will recommend one of the following alternatives: a) The work can be published as submitted; b) The work is publishable with modifications; c) The work is not publishable. According to current standards. If there is a significant discrepancy between the first two evaluators, a third final evaluation will be requested. The Editorial Committee will be responsible for resolving any disputes in this regard. In general, the Editorial Committee has the final and unappealable decision on the articles to be published. All of the above in accordance with the procedure for editing and publication of UNAD journals. Code P-11-6 Version 0-04-08-2021.
Articles that comply with the editing and publication process established in the OJS author manual, after the mandatory positive evaluation by external peers and the final approval of the Editorial Committee will be published, according to the order of receipt and acceptance.
The Journal has no charges or fees for the processing of articles (APC) sent by the authors, likewise there is no charge for the submission of articles.
The Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia, UNAD, through the SIGI, Research Management System, promotes at institutional level the development and advancement of science, technology and innovation, through research for the development of Colombian society.
This has led to the need to promote a scientific publishing industry within the academy, to highlight the values and dedication of the scientific and research talent of the institution and its correlation with other scenarios that allow coining efforts with other institutions, researchers and scientists to expand the global perspective of knowledge and promote access to it.

Articles and other documentations published in this journal will remain current, accurate, and unaltered as much as possible. However, exceptional circumstances may arise in which an article needs to be corrected, retracted, or removed. Such actions will be carried out after careful consideration by the editorial team of the journal, along with the support of Sello Editorial UNAD staff, to guarantee that they adhere to maximum standards and are in line with those recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
In instances of inaccuracy, the scientific communication framework implements various rectification procedures dictated by the type, severity, and ramifications of the error. These include issuing an erratum or correction notice, retracting the publication, and, in rare cases, deleting the article. The aim of this system is to ensure the transparency of modifications and uphold the integrity of academic records.
The journal Análisis Jurídico-Político does not allow the use of AI tools in the writing of any part of the articles. This includes the abstract, literature review, report generation, statistical reports or images. Authors must be responsible for the writing, authenticity of data, integrity of their work and validity. Material must be created by the author and no completely new content can be generated by the AI as the author remains responsible.
An erratum will be published if it is necessary to rectify an error or omission made by the journal after publication, which could impact the publication record or the reputation of the authors or the journal. However, the scholarly integrity of the article will remain intact.
All errors will be accompanied by a distinct notice detailing the mistake and the changes made to the paper.
In this way:
1. The article will be revised to correct errors, and an endnote will be added to reference the erratum notice.
2. A separate erratum or corrigendum notice, linked to the corrected version, will also be published.
3. The erratum or corrigendum document will be paginated and assigned a DOI.
A correction notice will be produced when it is necessary to correct an error or omission made by the authors that affects the publication record or the reputation of the authorship or the journal, but where the academic integrity of the article remains intact.
All errors shall be accompanied by a separate notice. The notice should provide clear details of the error and the changes that have been made to the document.
In this way:
- An endnote will be included in the article referencing the correction notice.
- A separate corrigendum or corrigendum notice linked to the corrected version will be published.
- The erratum or corrigendum document will be paginated and a DOI will be added.
If the articles conclusions become invalid due to a major error or there is research or publication misconduct, a retraction notice will be released. Authors can ask for their article to be retracted if it meets the necessary conditions.
Retraction will be considered in the following cases:
- If there is clear evidence that the findings cannot be trusted, either due to misconduct (such as data fabrication or image manipulation) or error (such as calculation or experimental error).
- If the findings have previously been published elsewhere without appropriate cross-referencing, permission, or justification (such as cases of redundant or duplicate publication).
- If the research constitutes plagiarism
- If there is evidence of fraudulent authorship.
- If there is evidence of compromised peer review.
- If there are indications of unethical research and breaches of professional ethical codes.
When an article has been retracted, a watermark stating "article retracted"; will be added to the published version of the article record.

- Additionally, the title of the article will have "Article retracted: [title of article]"; placed in front to indicate the retraction.
- A separate statement retracting the article, titled "Retraction: [article title]", will be published and linked to the retracted article. Journal editors will sign this statement.
- The statement of retraction should be paginated and assigned a DOI.
May only occur in exceptional circumstances where the problems are of a very serious nature and cannot be addressed by a correction or retraction notice.
This will only happen in cases:
- When the article is clearly defamatory, or infringes other legal rights.
- Where an article is subject to a court order.
- Where the item, if not acted upon, could pose a serious risk to health.
In case an article is removed, the metadata (authorship and title) will be kept and the text will be replaced by a document stating that the article has been removed for legal reasons.
