Objective. To design a digital educational resource as a training tool to strengthen first aid education among primary school students at the Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes Educational Institution. Method. A qualitative study using Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology. Surveys were administered to students and teachers, and institutional protocols related to emergency management and first aid were reviewed. Results. Significant gaps in first aid knowledge among students were identified, along with the absence of regular emergency drills and the need for teacher training in emergency management. The school community acknowledged the importance of systematic training in this area. Conclusions. There is an urgent need to implement ongoing first aid training processes and to develop an institutional plan that ensures continuous education in first aid, in order to enhance the safety and preparedness of the school community.
