Communication is a fundamental aspect in daily life for deaf and mute people. The connection with hearing people is a problem that occurs in various environments where we live. This is due to factors such as not knowing sign language. These linguistic barriers create a gap of very great inequality, in which there are great challenges when interacting with their environment, in Colombia the lack of access to Colombian Sign Language (CSL) hinders effective communication between the deaf-mute community and the hearing community, these in different environments, both in-person and virtual, especially in virtual environments such as web conferences. To address this problem and promote inclusion, this research project develops specialized LSC software, which acts as a bridge to unite these two linguistic worlds.

This software has defined environments for both deaf and hearing people, which will allow bidirectional communication between the LSC and hearing people. In addition, a predefined 3D avatar will be implemented which will oversee translating the text/sound in real time in the same way. There is a motion sensor (Kinect) that is responsible for recognizing the LSC and then transforming it into text/sound and finally it will have LSC libraries where effective communication will be fed.
