Probiotics are used in food for their benefits in improving the intestinal flora and in the assimilation of nutrients. In the case of animal feed, studies have been carried out that show potential benefits in different types of livestock through the inclusion or application of probiotics in the diet. The objective of this study is to analyze the applications of probiotics in swine feeding and the potential benefits that this would entail in the national context. The need for a document that systematically analyzes the use of probiotics as a nutritional supplement to improve swine feeding is observed. For this purpose, documentary research approaches will be employed in the Scopus database, extracting, and analyzing the relevant data and information from relevant studies carried out in the last decade and the results obtained. It is expected to obtain as a result an updated document of the different applications of probiotics in swine feeding and the benefits of their use, through the analysis of a bibliographical review using search equations. As a result, in this monograph, we will address the physiological, immunological, and clinical advantages of probiotics at various phases of the pig life cycle. Probiotics improve sow performance during pregnancy, farrowing, and lactation; they can improve immunohistological parameters and defenses in the growth phase; they can influence the quality of the meat in the finishing phase; and can help reduce environmental pollutants.
