Comparative Analysis Between Pmbok® And Agile For Project Management In Msmes: An Exploratory Revie

MSMEs are an engine of social development that brings productivity and sources of employment to the country, in Colombia they are responsible for contributing 67% of employment and 28% of GDP. This contribution to the economy leads to the conclusion that they need to increase their competitiveness to overcome the market competition and respond to the changing and uncertain environment in which they operate. The use of project management is expected to play an important role in managing innovation and its growth. However, the main theoretical bodies for project management are focused on the processes of large organizations, restricting their application for MSMEs. Therefore, in this research work, the development of a comparative analysis between the PMBOK® and AGILE methodologies for Project Management in MSMEs is proposed, in order to establish the elements applicable to these companies. For this, an exploratory review of scientific articles that are related to PMBOK and AGILE, indexed in the Scopus platform, and a search in other sources of information with the same search criteria is carried out, to identify documents not published in this platform; but that may be relevant to the investigation. The selected documents are the inputs for the construction of the theoretical contents, analyze the characteristics of the PMBOK® and AGILE methodologies for project management and determine the elements of these methodologies for project management in MSMEs.
