The present document is the result of an investigation, focusing on exploring the perception of the importance of implementing human resource development among a group of micro-enterprise leaders in the municipality of Garzón-Huila. It contributes to the body of knowledge on the development of enterprises in the local and regional context by providing relevant information for the design of effective human resource development strategies. These strategies aim to strengthen the capacities and competencies of the micro-entreprise leaders in Garzón-Huila. The micro-enterprises represent a significant economic, local and regional network and the leaders of these organizations play a crucial role in its success and growth.

In this sense, it is necessary for the leaders of microenterprises to define strategies that will lead them to include in their management human resources development processes aimed at making their employees a key success factor, where competitiveness, efficiency and quality are considered as an the result of a training plan, sustainable training with high impact on productivity and continuous growth of people in the three dimensions of Being, Knowing and Doing to meet the demands of today's market.
