This document is derived from the research project Evaluation of sustainability in Tunja as a tourist destination and from the undergraduate work of the student from the “Gestores del Desarrollo Local Colombiano- GEDELCO” seedbed, linked to the Hunzahúa research group. The objective of this document is to show the partial results of the study carried out focused on analyzing the perceptions of tourism sustainability by travelers who visit the capital of Boyacá, supported by a statistical analysis tool. The focus of this research is quantitative and descriptive and is developed in three stages, beginning with the identification and description of the tourist attractions of the city of Tunja, followed by the application of a measurement instrument that collects the perceptions of tourists who spend at least one night in the city, and subsequently the analysis of the information collected through the SPSS statistical software. Within the findings of this research it is evidenced that the perception of tourists regarding sustainability is regular, an aspect that becomes an indicator for decision-making by the competent authorities in the tourism sector of the city.
