The main objective is to analyze the strategies for coping with stress in teachers at the San Francisco de Asís Parish School (Bello, Antioquia). The research approach is qualitative, and the method is phenomenological, since it allows us to identify and analyze the subjective and dynamic realities of the context, based on the conscious experiences of the actors addressed. The techniques used for information collection and analysis were social cartography, situation murals and in-depth interviews. From this analysis, categories such as work stress, self-sabotage, emotional self management and absence of psychosocial support emerge. The findings obtained present a humanized dimension of the teaching experience and the daily ways they find to face the stress derived from their daily functions and challenges within the educational system.
