Artificial intelligence is transforming the conditions under which knowledge is produced, validated, and disseminated, creating unprecedented challenges for academies and research institutions. This FIKA TALK aims to examine the leadership role that Hispanic American academies should assume to guide scientific and technological development from a humanistic, ethical, and interdisciplinary perspective. The presentation follows a dialogic interdisciplinary approach based on a reflective study addressing the humanistic tradition of academies, the technological transformation of knowledge, the crisis of authorship, epistemic opacity in AI systems, and the need for knowledge governance. The session encourages collective reflection on the institutional responsibility of academies to safeguard scientific integrity, epistemic diversity, and social responsibility in research. It concludes that the future relevance of academies will depend not simply on adopting artificial intelligence but on integrating technological innovation with critical judgment, academic deliberation, and the central role of the human person in the creation of knowledge.
