The use of video games as therapeutic support and in the rehabilitation of various conditions related to physical mobility and mental health has proven to be a useful and accessible tool for most patients.

Objective: To identify the main uses of video game devices in clinical and therapeutic contexts, classifying them according to their usefulness in treatment.

Methodology: An integrative literature review was conducted in the PubMed, Scopus, and SciELO databases, identifying 3213 articles. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, selecting 43 studies. The analysis followed the Whittemore and Knafl phases: matrix visualizations, comparison, and synthesis of categories, ensuring a coherent process.

Results: Video game devices are mainly used in three main areas: prevention, promotion of physical activity and healthy habits; treatment, support in mental health and cognitive rehabilitation; and physical rehabilitation, improvement of mobility, strength, and coordination. Their technical characteristics, such as motion capture and biometric recording, promote therapeutic adherence and active patient participation. Conclusions: The use of video games as a therapeutic tool constitutes an innovative strategy with the potential to strengthen prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation in health.
